J's bedroom underwent the smallest transformation. Before, this room was our extra bedroom and I used it to house my scrapbooking supplies. I warned you I wasn't very good at before pictures but this room was painted a pale green. Basically, we repainted everything and turned it into a room fit for a boy! I love this room!
His view is amazing! The best in the house.
You can see I still need to paint the closet door.
Dad, Seth, and Blake made the headboard for the bed. It is actually five boards fixed together and attached directly to the wall. This bit of wall juts out because it's the backside of our fireplace. It looks just like I imagined! I hung his first deer horns above the bed. The blue and white bedding is from Pottery Barn Kids (ages ago) and Mamaw made the red and blue quilt. I made the "HERO" pillow cover.
This was my take on a Pinterest idea. Blake screwed the tires together and Seth made the top. I spray painted it and now it is an awesome bedside table!
These are part of a set of old school lockers from my former high school. I was going to paint them but I kind of like the natural look. The baskets on the wall are planter baskets and I made the little chalkboard.
You can't see them that well but the shelves are made from barn wood Blake found and varnished. They are two very different pieces and look so good on the wall. That's an old school desk in the corner.
Another pinterest idea...the curtain rods are made from galvanized pipes. The hardware shop in town got a kick out of my idea but it looks great! The curtains are from Pottery Barn.
It's the perfect room for a little boy and will be just right for growing with him.
