Art Camp

We are doing a little summer fun school at home. This week we had art camp. It was so much fun and it was great to be at home for the week. We love our little play/learning room.

Day 1...We made crazy hair using paint and straws. J and K also painted their wooden letters that the Easter bunny brought them. Sweet M likes having so much space to roll around. She played with new toys and talked to us while we worked.

Day 2...Painting with glue is so fun! They made designs with glue then we sprinkled them with salt. We used water colors to paint the glue. The result is really neat and they had fun watching it. We also made sun catchers with glue and food coloring.

Day 3...Nature painting. I had a paint kit that had paint powder made from plants so we mixed those up and painted rocks. The paint smelled awesome!

Day 4...Yesterday we went to the library and checked a few books about artists. Today we did artist studies on Claude Monet, Eduard Seurat, and Andy Warhol. We talked about impressionism, pointillism, and pop art. Their pieces turned out super cute! I love their finger painted Monets.

Winter Break and More

The kids made giant valentine's for Mamaw and Papaw. M was a sweet onlooker.

We got in a few sibling snuggles.

I think she likes having J home.

We worked cows. J is really becoming a big helper. He works the poles.

Enjoying some sunshine...M did not like the hat.

If you look closely, you can see J. He was shooting his b.b. gun.

K had a cavity...bummer...and her dentist also fixed her chipped teeth in the front. She did such a great job! No crying! Her dentist said he wished all his patients were as good as she was.

Sundays...This girl keeps me busy during worship. Sometimes she just needs to lay down and kick. And sometimes she spits up everywhere and we have to change clothes.

Decorating

We haven't done many holiday crafts this year but I pulled out some Melissa and Doug painting kits for J and K to do one afternoon. J made a ceramic car bank and K made a wooden flower box. They were cute and we had fun painting!

This little cutie wanted in on the action too. She has been a little fussy and spitting up some so we are doing lots of walking, bouncing, and cuddling!

We made sugar cookies for Santa and Mamaw came over to help the big kids ice them. I think they ate as much icing as they used on the cookies! Santa is going to love his snack!

November Happenings

Tela invited all of the women in our family to go out for Aunt Jacque's birthday. We went to Painting with a Twist and Jacque had chosen a snowy wreath as her painting. It was so much fun!

Jon and Jana had a bonfire for the youth devo this month. It was freezing that night so it was a great night for a fire.

These two munchkins turned five!

This happened!

The Christmas trees went up. Blake had a lot of help this year!
