Cookie Making and Cute Shirts

We made sugar cookies to take to Gram's. These two wanted to help decorate a few for the Easter bunny. I didn't know he liked cookies but we were fresh out of carrots! They are getting pretty good at icing cookies!

Meanwhile, this topless baby was playing with new toys.

Cookies are finished and now we are ready to go to Gram's. I made them all shirts for the weekend. I love how cute they turned out!

M is tired and ready for a nap! She is not excited about dying eggs.

Hello Kitty Party

K celebrated her birthday with her friends tonight at the local Mexican restaurant. Her friends came and ate dinner. We had chocolate Hello Kitty cake and she opened presents. It was the easiest party ever! I can't believe my baby girl will be THREE in a few days!

Day 2

I made two felt Christmas trees with ornaments and presents.  The kids love decorating them over and over again.  I tried to plan a few activities that were geared more towards K but J likes this just as much.  I found the idea HERE.  Very simple and a great Sunday afternoon activity that doesn't take up a lot of time.

Turkey Tees for My Little Turkeys

J really wanted a turkey shirt this year so I was excited to make him one.  After spending hours making his one night, he was so excited he asked where K's was.  So, of course, she had to have one too!  I think these are my favorite t-shirts so far.

Happy Halloween!

Peter Pan and Tinker Bell wish you a very happy Halloween all the way from Never Land!  They fly very fast so a good picture is hard to come by.  But don't you think Mamaw did a great job on their costumes?  And check out those pointy shoes on Peter...I can do wonders with a hot glue gun!  Yes, those are actual green tights he is wearing.  Hope your holiday was fun!

Fall T-shirts for J

I love holiday clothes for my kiddos.  But finding cute things for J that aren't cartoon related or covered in words is getting hard to do.  So I made a pumpkin shirt for him to wear to the pumpkin patch.  I cut out all of the pieces and Mom sewed them on.  I decided to do a plain pumpkin so he can wear it through Thanksgiving.

J helped me make a cute monster shirt for Halloween.  We made handprint monsters (idea found HERE) on paper one day and I decided they would be cute on a shirt.  He made the handprints on white fabric and I stitched them onto a black shirt.  I found buttons and used ribbon and different stitches for the faces.  I made this one ALL BY MYSELF!!!  I was quite proud of it even though the stitching is a little wonky.  J wore it to the movie with his friends.  I love things with his handprints!

Green Apple Baby Shower

This sweet boy was welcomed into the world several weeks ago by my friend, Laura and her husband Ryan.  I had the pleasure of helping some friends plan a sip and see for Laura and baby O.  We all live in different places so we thought it might be difficult to do any planning but through email and texting we pulled off a super cute shower!  It was great getting to see friends I haven't seen in a while.  We had fun planning and catching up with each other.
After taking inventory of what everyone had, we decided to go with green apples as our main color.  We threw in a little blue and orange and had a great color scheme.  I love the way everything turned out!  Thanks Ellen, Erin, and Mendy for all of your hard work!  Thank you, Laura, for letting us do this for you!

I made a few banners to hang around Ellen's house.

Mendy made green punch to go with the color scheme.  We used my mason jars and paper straws.  Erin used blue duct tape to spruce up tiny water bottles.

Our food table was so cute!  We raided Ellen's kitchen and found a ton of blue and green dishes.  They were just what the table needed!

I made apple spice cupcakes with salted caramel buttercream.  They were delicious if I do say so myself!

Erin's bacon crescent bites are one of my favorites!
