Weekend Getaway...Part 2

Conway has changed a lot since we were last there. We made a stop at Rocket Fizz for some sodas to go. 

Dinner at David's Burgers...it used to be Fazoli's.

McKenzie and Houston had a beautiful wedding and I'm so glad we made the trip to be there. 

We had to eat at Market Place. Angela met us for dinner and it was delicious!

We went to worship at Vilonia and drove around town. We took the kids to Bass Pro Shop before going home. It was a great weekend and I hope we can do it again next summer!

Weekend Getaway...Part 1

We had a wedding to attend in Conway over the weekend so we decided to have a mini vacation before school starts. We stayed one night in Little Rock and had an amazing view of the river. 

Friday morning we went to the Museum of Discovery. The kids loved it and even M was pretty interested in everything going on. 

After eating lunch we headed to Conway for the rest of the weekend.

We stopped at the USS Alabama to stretch out legs and feed Madeline. We didn't tour the ship but there was still a lot to see.

We had a great week on the beach! We are so glad Daddy got to go with us this year and, of course, we are happy Mamaw came as well. It was a beautiful week full of memory making. 

Destin Last Day

Destin Days 4 and 5

Wednesday was a beautiful day! The water was a little seaweedy (is that a word?) but we had a fun time on the beach anyway. 

We decided that eating lunch out was a better that eating dinner out. Less crowds and we miss the hot sun. The kids get to play on the beach later in the evening. We ate at Dewey Destin's for lunch Wednesday. It was the best we've had so far and it's on the harbor so we got to walk and see all of the boats.

Today we went on a dolphin cruise. We had the be there early so we left around lunch time and ate lunch, shopped around a little, and fought traffic. J loved the boat! We saw a few dolphins then we went really fast on the ocean. It wasn't something we will do again but J had fun and got to drive the boat. M slept through most of it and K fell asleep toward the end. It was pretty loud! It started raining as soon as we docked and we got drenched. It was a memorable experience to say the least.
