Christmas at Mimi and Poppy's

We had Christmas with Mimi and Poppy on Blake's birthday. He's 36! Happy birthday, Dear!

After lunch and presents, the five of us took Blake shopping for a new suit and dress pants. Then we went to see Annie. M did great during the movie and we all liked it. 

Polar Express

Warm cookies, hot chocolate, a good story, and a movie...another polar express night is in the books!

Going to the Movies

Mom and I took the kids to see Box Trolls after J's seven year check up. It was cute! 

Mom, Karrie, and I took all the kids to see Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. We laughed so much! All the kids loved it and we did too. We took them to eat pizza afterwards.

More Birthday Fun

After celebrating with friends, Blake and I took J and K to see Dolphin Tale 2. They loved it! Then we met Mamaw, Papaw, Seth, Jules, and Luke at Osaka for supper. J loves it and we rarely eat there. It was a fun birthday!

We had a small family party Sunday after worship. Mom and I cooked lunch and J opened more presents. He got new boots from Blake and me. We also have been working on his bedroom. He will get to move into it next weekend! Mom and Dad got curtains and a horse canvas to go in his room. He was really excited about the work pants and coveralls from Seth and Jules. And Luke gave him a fishing rod and reel. I think he has had a pretty good birthday!

Spring Break Fun

We started off the week with a trip to Little Rock with Blake. We went to the Children's Theater and saw The Boy Who Cried Wolf. We also had to visit the new Bass Pro Shop. 

We spent a fun day with Mamaw playing games at Chuck E Cheese and going to the movies.

Pizza and Movie with Friends

After worship tonight, some of the kids stayed in the fellowship building to watch a movie and eat pizza. They had a lot of fun even if most of them didn't pay much attention to the movie. K and E especially just had a good time eating popcorn and being silly!

Movies and Another Gingerbread House

Frozen!! We loved it! The kids have been singing the songs since we left the theater. I think I'll be buying that soundtrack! K calls the theater "the popcorn place" and can't wait to go back.

We figured out that pushing the couches together is much better than a floor pallet for movie watching in the living room. I wish I had thought of this earlier. Now we are going to want two couches at our house!

We had one more gingerbread house so Daddy got to help with this one. He mainly supervised because by now J and K are pros at this! But I think they were more excited about getting to sample more of the royal icing. Yuck!

Movie Night

We read The Happy Elf tonight and watched to movie together. We made hot chocolate and s'mores. What a fun, cozy night!
