My New Bicycle

I bought a bicycle a few weeks ago so I could ride with J.  I put a seat on it for K and we love it!  K really likes to ride fast and gets tired of the hills when I go slow.  J likes it when Mamaw rides with him.  I think once the weather cools off a little, we will be spending a lot of time on our bikes.

4th of July Bicycle Parade

Some friends of our invited us to join in on their bicycle parade tonight.  We decorated J's bike and the little John Deere for K.  They wore their new flag shirts Mamaw made.  And they had a BLAST!!!

There were just a few kids and they just rode around in the yard but they had so much fun.  K's tractor was super cute but she didn't stay on it long.  She walked behind the parade and then hitched a ride on the Barbie Jeep.

They played kickball, had ice cream, and enjoyed a hot evening with friends.  The adults had a great time too!

No Training Wheels

I took the training wheels off of J's bike today.  He was very excited!  We tried it with one wheel still on first but he wanted them both off.  He did a great job!  No big crashes and he can even get started by himself...some of the time!  He likes to be pushed.  We are going to stick to the grass for a few days just to get the hang of things but I'm sure he will be road ready by the end of next week.
