I'm a little behind in posting our Halloween activities! The last couple of weeks were pretty hectic and we are actually just now finishing all of our Halloween books and crafts.
Candy Corn Math...I found THIS free printable and it was great for J to see the numbers in three different ways. I had to help him with the words but the rest he did great with.
Halloween Sensory Tub...I filled our tub with foam Halloween pieces, spider rings, giant google eyes, pumpkins, candy corn (not real!), and sticky eye balls. They loved it!
We made spider webs with glue and sprinkled them with glitter. After they were dry, we added finger print spiders. J added the legs and eyes after the paint was dry.
The next activities came from THIS packet that I bought from teacherspayteachers.com. I found it on THIS blog. It was great not having to make all of these myself. Just print and cut out! It came with follow up homework or practice pages that would be perfect in a classroom. We just didn't use them all.
Counting Spiders...J counted the spiders and wrote the numbers. He is getting better with his writing and number recognition.
Number Cards 1-20...We used these to review number recognition. J is having a hard time remembering 11, 12, and 13. I'm not sure why but we are getting there!
Missing Numbers...This was pretty challenging because we had never done this before but after the first few J caught on.
Tallies and Graphs...This was fun and easy for J. He likes making graphs and this was the first time we worked with tallies.
Pattern Sorting...J sorted the pattern strips according to the type of pattern it was. The printable also came with individual pictures to create your own patterns.
These bat activities were made by the same teacher but they were free! THIS is were you can find them. I found them on THIS blog. J loved talking about bats.
Rhyming with "Bat"...J looked at picture cards and sorted them into two piles.
Beginning and Ending Sounds...I had letters already cut out and they were perfect for this. J said the word and found the letters that made the first and last sounds of the picture in the bat's feet. He liked this and did fairly well.
Ten Frame Number Matching...I found this free printable HERE.
J finished this sentence and illustrated it on the back. I love the bats he drew!
Our KL chart about bats.
Footprint Ghosts...J's is first and K has two. J helped me with one of them!
Glue Ghosts...We used a cookie cutter to help hold the shape and added google eyes. J said his were better than mine because the eyes were different! Silly boy!
Handprint Spiders...K's is the first one.
