More October Fun

This little guy showed up on our front porch one day. He was pretty homely looking but we decided to try to keep him. The kids named him Lewis. After couple of weeks, he went missing. We aren't sure what happened but we suspect the neighbors' dogs chased him away. Maybe one day we can get a cat to stick around.

K dressed for worship in one of Mrs. Kathy's dresses. It is over fifty years old! I love it!

Uncle Phillip and Aunt Linda had the family over for ice cream to celebrate September and October birthdays. Laura and the kids were in from Ohio so it was fun seeing them!

We came home one afternoon to find a friend on the porch. I had to chase it away with a broom.

We had a flat on the way to the doctor. The machines were loud!

J had to try out his Halloween costume. K does everything he does!

Carving Pumpkins

We decided to carve two pumpkins this year because J is big enough to carve his own. K picked out a face design from one of our Halloween books and J designed his own. K helped me carve hers and she did a good job. We love our Pampered Chef carving knife! J did most of his own carving. I just cleaned it up a little bit when he was finished. They are pretty good jack o lanterns!

Youth Halloween Party

We had a costume party and scavenger hunt for our church youth group. Some of the costumes were pretty awesome! They had fun doing the scavenger hunt. They had to bring things back to us and we had a few older couples from our congregation drive them around town. Their imaginations are too funny!

Pumpkin Patch

We made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch after one of my doctor visits. We decided to try a different pumpkin patch this year and were pretty disappointed. J and K had fun but we won't be coming back to this one!
