Weekend Getaway...Part 1

We had a wedding to attend in Conway over the weekend so we decided to have a mini vacation before school starts. We stayed one night in Little Rock and had an amazing view of the river.

Friday morning we went to the Museum of Discovery. The kids loved it and even M was pretty interested in everything going on.

After eating lunch we headed to Conway for the rest of the weekend.

More July Pics

We fed the ducks one day after swimming lessons.

The kids have done a little fishing this summer. Those catfish are getting pretty big!

Everybody taking a nap...this is very rare!!

We had fun mail week. The kids made postcards to send to the friends and some family. We also mailed two balls, two buckets, and three Frisbees! They thought that was pretty cool.

M had fresh peaches for the first time. I filled her fresh food feeder three times and she fussed at me when I was refilling. I think she liked them!

K slept in sponge rollers one night. She thought they were funny looking but was not very happy with her super curly hair when we took them out. She really likes her hair straight right now.

Look who's pulling up! I had to lower her crib so she won't flip out. We have one busy baby on our hands!

July 5th, Tick Tock, Girls' Swim

We had our annual July 5th supper and swim at John and Karrie's a day late this year. The boys played basketball the majority of the time. The little ones had a big time swimming. They are growing up too fast!

M went to "tick tock" for the first time. That's what all the kids call the cradle roll Bible class because they sing a song about it. She did great and seemed to like it.

These girls had a big time swimming with the big girls at the girls' swim night at Karrie's. They have a good group of role models!

Cooking Camp

We spent the week learning to cook. J already does a few things in the kitchen like scrambling eggs, making toast, and helping me mix up things. This week we worked on using measuring cups and reading recipes.

Chocolate caramel bark

Peach cobbler

Chocolate chip cookies

Cinnamon rolls

They helped make dinner a few nights too. It was a fun week!
