Fayetteville Military Museums

Fayetteville is the home of Fort Bragg so it is a town rich in military history.  It would be an awesome place to visit again when the kids are older.  They aren't all that interested in history right now!  But we did visit a couple of the museums in town today.

First, we went to the Airborne and Special Ops Museum.  We were able to see uniforms, pictures, and videos of airborne and special ops throughout history.  K liked the big trucks and J asked a ton of questions about war and paratroopers.  J and Blake took a ride in the simulator and J loved it!

My favorite place of the day was the North Carolina Veterans Park.  It is a beautiful memorial for all of the men and women from North Carolina who have served our country.  The pictures don't do it justice.  You can read about it HERE.

Towers of bronzed hands showing support of veterans

Wall of dog tags...the entire left side is lined with dog tags from World War II
