July 4th Activities

We didn't do a lot of activities for Independence Day.  Papaw was off the last part of the week so J spent most of his time with him.  I forget never to plan things for J when Papaw is at home because we never get to do them!  I'm so happy they get to spend time together though.  J is one lucky dude!
We did manage to do a few crafts on Wednesday, and this weekend we talked a little about the flag.  We counted stripes and talked about what they mean.  We read The Pledge of Allegiance and discussed why it's so important.  Blake and I also showed J how to fold the flag.

Hand and Footprint Eagles...K's in first

Handprint flags...J's is on top

Handprint fireworks...K's is on the blue paper.  These didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped.  My paint was too light on the dark paper.  But K really had fun making them.  That's why there are no pictures of her painting!
